The Antonov An-225 Mriya is the biggest cargo plane in the world, designed by Antonov Design in the Soviet Union in 1980.
The An-225’s name, Mriya (Мрiя) means “Dream” (Inspiration) in Ukrainian.It is recognized as the world’s largest aircraft, the largest aircraft with a total weight of 640 tons, the largest aircraft in terms of length and breadth in service.
The An-225, originally developed specifically to transport the Buran orbiter, was an enlargement of the successful An-124 Antonov.
The first An-225 was completed in 1988 and a second An-225 has been partially completed. The An-225 is in commercial operation with Air Antonov and is used to carry large payloads. Among his many records, holds the world record of all air cargo of 189,980 kilograms (418,834 pounds).
